What are
the scholarships?

We have set aside a number of tickets for people in under-represented groups and we’re working on getting funds from sponsors to cover travel and accommodation.

 

Scholarships are available for anyone in an under-represented group in technology. This includes (but is not limited to) : people of colour, LGBTQIA+ people, women, disabled 

people and economically disadvantaged individuals.

 

We’d like to encourage students to volunteer in the event instead of applying for a scholarship - please contact us at lt@yougottalovefrontend.com.

We will ask you a couple of questions to explain your situation:

We will anonymize all submissions during the review process, but we need to be able to contact you afterwards.

Who are you?

Why do you want to attend the conference?

The final selection process will be random, but we would like our invitations not to be wasted.

Do you need assistance with childcare, travel and/or accommodation?

We might not be able to provide this due to limited budget, but we do need to know if you’re unable to cover these costs yourself.

If you are employed, and your employer is able to sponsor your travel, we can list them as a scholarship sponsor.

Applications close on April 15, 2019.

We will notify everyone who applies by April 18, 2019.

 

All submissions are confidential and will be deleted after the conference.

We will not publicly announce the recipients of the scholarship.
